Massage therapy training at City Pointe Beauty Academy includes Massage Theory and Practice, Anatomy and Physiology, Business and Professional Practice, and Ancillary Therapies. This program focuses on the study of the body and on enhancing its physical well-being through hands-on treatment. Massage is the manipulation of the superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using various techniques to enhance function, aid healing, decrease muscle reflex activity, and promote relaxation. The school currently offers a 625-hour Massage Therapy training program that meets Missouri state standards and takes at least 6 months to complete, depending on overall attendance. The primary goal of this program is for the graduate to become a knowledgeable and professional massage therapist with the background and skills to pass the state board exam (MBLEx).

Class schedule: Monday - Wednesday 9am - 6pm; 1st and 3rd Saturday 9am - 4pm (during last 3 months)
